The European clash and historical connections. The both teams have a special connection, also competing in Forest's most recent continental tour in the mid-90s European competition, but it is the European Cup final decades past that entwines these two together, with the groundbreaking transfer Trevor Francis netting the decisive goal of a largely forgettable match to claim legendary status for the Forest supporters.

The current fixture is a far cry from that pinnacle, closer perhaps to the previous continental meeting between Forest and Malmö in 1995-96. Forest are absolutely buzzing after defeating Liverpool convincingly at the famous ground on Saturday, while Malmö haven't played officially since early November following the completion of Allsvenskan. The smart money is on the Forest tonight.
